On the right hand side here, I started a links section of cool links. The first two are two of my favorites. One contains highly offensive t-shirts, so don't go there if you don't have a sense of humor. The second is a great website where you can play online almost EVERY NES game that was made. It rocks. Mario and Zelda are gone at the moment because of copyright issues, but trust me, there is plenty off nostalgia to keep one occupied there. Check them both out.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, my arch enemy knocked me out again Saturday night. Read the last post to know what I am talking about.

I am a terrible person...
It is nearly 9am as I write this, after having worked my third 12-hour night shift in a row. I don't know why I want to confess this - perhaps it is because I am deliriously tired. Or maybe it is because I genuinely feel bad for what I did...
The following is a conversation exchanged between Manuel and I the other day:
M: I have news! Guess who's pregnant?
J: Ummm... Who?
M: Somebody we play poker with.
J: Chad and Cindy?
M: Yes! She said she is 8 weeks.
J: *Silence*
Do you know why I was silent? I was silent because I was raging a battle with the green-eyed monster and losing miserably. I was so overcome by jealousy that I was physically/mentally unable to be happy for them. And I feel TERRIBLE for it. I felt terrible even as I was fighting the battle, knowing my first reaction should have been happiness for them, but being unable to look past my own feelings of desperately wanting a baby more than anything in the world.
Does that make me a terribe, horrible, rotten person? I really feel like it does. What kind of person is so self-absorbed that she focuses on her own feelings before those of her friends, who are experiencing one of the happiest times in their lives? I'm pathetic...
So Chad and Cindy, because I know you read this on occasion, I am truly so very very happy for you both and wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy. If you ever have any questions about labor and delivery, I'm your woman to ask, seeing as how that's what I do 12 hours a night... I apologize for my initial reaction, and although I know you never would have known if I didn't say anything about it, I really do feel bad.
Ah... a clean conscience. Now I can sleep.

Arch Enemies
Everybody has an arch enemy; that foe that they always seem to come up against. The Fantastic Four had Dr. Doom, the X-Men had Magneto, the Kings had the Lakers for a while, and Daniel Larusso had Johnny. I apparently have Duncan. Now, this isn't a hated enemy. Quite the opposite. He is a great friend. But that guy seems to have my number in poker. I just can't beat him in a showdown. It doesn't matter if I start off with the better cards or he does. He will ALWAYS end up on top.
Even today, a friend of mine who I barely see said had this to say after Duncan took me out yet again in a small game tonight, "Man, Duncan got you again huh?"
My reply, "Oh, so you have heard about how often he beats me?"
His response, "Of course I have. It is almost a thing of legend now how bad he has your number."
See, someone who I barely see knows about my misfortune. I can play well only to lose tons of chips to Duncan ANYTIME I go up against him. Tonight I played well again and it came down to myself and Duncan. I didn't really lose any bad beats to him, but he just always got the cards he wanted. Almost EVERY time. I joked that I need to have shirt made that says, "Duncan's Bitch." That is how I feel. It is not like I played bad either. I play the same way with him as I do with others. I just am able to get cards against others. Not him though. Last week, there were EIGHTEEN different cards in one hand that would have helped me take out Duncan. About a third of the deck. Those who play know that is a lot of outs. I expected that after all my shitty luck with him, I would get some luck that time. Of course I didn't. Jason joked around that I just need to start folding anytime Duncan plays a hand. It's ludicrous, but it almost sounds like a good thing now. All I can do is keep playing how I am playing and hope the world evens out. Daniel Larusso kept getting beat up by Johnny only to prevail in the end. I need to find out what the equivalent of the Crane Technique is for poker.

The Agony
TV is just too painful to watch right now. It is not that it is bad television(although there is plenty of that out there.) It is what is on the tv that physically hurts right now.
1. Sacramento Kings games - Well, I said this was going to happen. We suck. I mean, we are just painful to watch. There is no way that we should be THIS bad, but the truth is in the images. Webber is crapping it up out there in Philly, but I think the main reason is that he doesn't fit in with the team offense. You know what, I think the new guys we got ARE better than I expected. They play hard. But just like Webb doesn't fit in Philly, I don't think these guys quite fit in with us. This has to be Petrie throwing in the towel until next year. What he has in store, I don't know. But we are done. We were so close. It seems like just yesterday we were a powerhouse that was a serious championship contender. We were right there. That day unfortunately is gone. It kills me. Chances don't always come back so easily. It could be years before it happens again. Just depressing.
2. Survivor Season 10 - Good season so far, but the most painful to watch ever. As some of you know, I applied to be on this season. I have watched this show since the beginning and I finally got off my ass to apply. Why? Because I think i can do really well on this show. They have guys that are as unathletic as me on there. It is how smart you play the game. I think I would have done well. It seems like I am analyzing every little thing that happens on this show now. "Would I have done that? What would I have done here? I never would have done that?" Yesterday, the pain just erupted. A guy rolled his ankle and then told his team to vote him off since he was no longer any use to them. He said it was for the good of the team. WHAT?!?!?! When did this become a freakin' team game? What, did you give up? Did you want to save face and say you told them to vote you off rather than face people and say that you were voted off even though you wanted to stay? Thousands of people apply to be on this show and you quit. I don't care if I have a "broken freakin' neck" (Thanks for the quote Kurt), I am going to stay on that show until someone votes me off. But this guy quits because he can't walk. So what! Fly under the radar and see for yourself if they vote you off. Maybe some people will burn bridges and get themselves voted off while you rest your ankle a few more days. God knows people have gone far in the game while doing jack shit. But no, this pussy has to quit while I sit on my ass at home thinking of what could have been. You son of a motherless goat...

The Pretentious, Pontificating Prophets: Or Holy Rollers Revealed:
There are 3 people that I consider to be 'led by the Holy Spirit'. And this topic is not about them. It's about those people who feel it's their job to change the world. And no, I'm not talking about JWs, they're so outwardly obvious with their stupidity, they need no help from me. I'm talking about those arrogant, so-called Christians who preach the almighty word, and practice a different lifestyle.
It's these same people that believe I'm impressed with their godliness. I don't give a flying fuck what they do with their religion. I have my beliefs; you have yours, leave me alone. I don't care how holy you believe you are.
But then, every once in a blue moon, you see 'em. The truth of the pontificating prophet breaks the surface and exposes itself as the phony it really is.
The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians, who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. THAT is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable. (Rev. Billy Graham)
I was witness to a situation that exposed a family of "Christians" to the dark side of reality. One might expect that they'd turn and run FOR their God. But what really happened was the opposite; they ran FROM their God. What's better than a Holy Roller running from the faith that they wear like an Olympic medal? How about those same Holy Rollers exiling everyone who would oppose them.
Because the perpetrator was within their family, they circled the wagons around themselves. They said fuck you to anyone who asked, "What would Jesus do.” And they began the process of defying the laws of the land.
From this begs the question; how would they counsel someone in their church that has a similar problem? "That is evil unless the perpetrator is a member of your direct family" (amen). How can they go to church and lead others to Christ when they, themselves, only follow Him when it is convenient to do so?
The moral of the story, don't push your faith around me. I'm fed up with this bullshit. Lead with your life; not your pretentious, self-righteous, propagandistic words.
[BTW, I still do believe in God in spite of the stupid religious people out there.]

Only stupid people are breeding.
I'm not a kid person. I don't like kids, I don't relate to kids, and I think that too many stupid people are breeding. Case in point, my neighbor:
I live in a cute little town, usually known for its uppity white people. I like uppity white people. I'd like to be an uppity white people someday myself. However, my neighbor is a fat bitch of the lowest order. She's got about a dozen kids that are always outside. And guess where those little bastards like to play………right in front of my fucking house!
That wouldn't be so bad, if there was some supervision. But there isn't. Every stupid welfare receiving, over breeding, piece of shit mother just sends their future convicts outside so they don't have to deal with 'em. Thanks bitch.
One might ask, 'where's their father'? Wouldn't we all like to know? There hasn't been a man near that house in the entire year that we've lived here. Come to think of it, what white guy would possibly impregnate that thing next door? White, did I say white? Yup. The fat bitch is white. And every illegitimate little shit head is white too. It goes to show you that white trash is just as bad as black trash. Some could argue that white trash is worse than black trash because black trash lives in the ghetto, white trash lives in white neighborhoods. I have no doubt in my mind that this fat fuck is living off of the buckets of child support that she must receive from the numerous fathers out there (besides being a burden on society and collecting welfare at the same time).
I believe that there should be an IQ test for perspective mothers. If the bitch is too stupid to be alive, rip her reproductive organs out. Now there's a tax I can go for.
There are other types of stupid breeders out there. How about those that can't afford to pay their bills, yet they're trying for ANOTHER child (we know some people like that). They are our future welfare recipients. And let's not forget our current welfare recipients. They breed simply to increase their welfare check amount. And finally there are today's teens. Those blossoming bitches that believe they have what it takes to be a mother while still in high school. They are the obvious offspring of a stupid parent.
If you're stupid, please don't breed.

A Grammar Lesson
Hi! I'm Manuel's wife and he invited me to be a guest-blogger. Thanks for the invite, hon, as you know I have some things to rant about too...
So my first and foremost rant, something that irritates me beyond belief, is misplaced apostrophes. I have made it my personal mission in life to educate the ignorant about misplaced apostrophes, something that you learn in 4th grade - and I should know, I live with a 4th grade teacher. So for all of you who were absent that day, here you go:
When a word has an apostrophe, it indicates possession, meaning something that belongs to someone. For example, my name is Jessica and I have a dog - Jessica's dog. I also have a house - Jessica's house. I am giving a grammar lesson - Jessica's grammar lesson. The point of this lesson: an apostrophe indicates possession.
So, with that in mind, when I go to Best Buy, why do I see signs that say: DVD's for $9.99? When I go to Safeway, why do I see packages that say: Ore Ida Pizza Mini's? When I'm driving down the street, why do I see a van that advertises: Errand's by Jane? What belongs to the DVDs? What belongs to the pizza minis? What belongs to the errands? The answer is nothing! Nothing belongs to the DVDs and the pizza minis and the errands because those are real life examples of today's lesson, misplaced apostrophes!
When there is more than one of something it is plural, and to indicate this, an s is placed after the word. For example, there is a CD on my desk. If there were four on my desk, I would have four CDs. Generally people sleep with more than one pillow - two pillows. I have a car and Manuel has a car, thus we have two cars. The point of this lesson: plural words have an s at the end.
Now, you must notice that nowhere in the plural leson did I mention apostrophes, did I? Then stop putting apostrophes in plural words!!!!! That's my point about misplaced apostrophes. It is WRONG to have a sign that says: DVD's for $9.99. If you were not absent that day in 4th grade Best Buy, you would know the correct way to write it would be: DVDs for $9.99. Likewise, Ore Ida, you packaging should read: Ore Ida Pizza Minis. And Jane, come on...
So there it is. My first blog and I feel like I have taken a huge step toward the education of America. Please feel free to share your examples of misplaced apostrophes. Be sure to include the offending company - I may just call and have a chat with them. I've done it before...

Why, why, why?
Of course, I am talking about the trade of Chris Webber. This one hit me like a bombshell last night. I wanted to sit down and write about it right away, but I wanted to wait and listen to Petrie's news conference. I was hoping that it would give me the answers as to why in the world this trade was made. Unfortunately. after this conference, I was still just as perplexed as when I heard the news - 8:42 pm on 2/23 to be exact. This trade hurts. I have been a Webb fan since the good ol' Fab Five days. When he got traded to my Kings, it was a dream come true. Then the good times began for this franchise. Could they be over? Has Petrie thrown in the towel? Well, let's look at why this trade might have been done...
1.To get rid of Webb's Contract - Yes, he had a huge contract. But now we are stuck with three guys with decent sized contracts. Thomas's even goes 'till like 2010. So yes, Webb's contract is gone, but we aren't in THAT much better shape.
2.To avoid the risk of Webb going down again - Sure, he is injury prone. But I was willing to take the chance. Especially after seeing what he could do this year on basically one leg. None of the guys we got when HEALTHY are going to make the game winning and clutch 4th quarter shots that Webb has made this year. So let's take the risk. That is my view anyways.
3. Peja was unhappy and wanted out unless Webb was gone - Very likely. This is what I believe happened. The team is ready to say, "Ok, Peja, this is your team. You got what you want. Now take us there." But can he? He has been such a baby this year, I don't know if he can. At least Webb is willing to take a big shot. Peja hides in clutch moments. Is he our leader? All I can say is that if this is what happened, Peja better sack up and start taking over games. If he doesn't improve and is still sulking like he has been all year, then screw him. Let him go run off to L.A. with his security blanket Vlade.
So, how will this trade affect us? It could go either way. We lost an All-Star. He didn;t make the team, but that was debatable. Are we going to have to change the offense. We rely so much on the high post offense. Is Kenny Thomas going to be able to make the nice passes to cutting guards or hit the occassional 18 foot jumper? Doesn't look promising. The only way it might help is if Thomas gets his butt down on the blocks and picks up some much needed rebounds for us. I mean, really bang down there to justify getting him. If he can't improve our rebounding and defense and hurts the way our offense works, then what was the point? That is what I am still trying to figure out. If it doesn't work out, then look out below. Down the standings we go. I am going to miss you Webb. It's just not right. Not all of Sacto hated you...

Way to go fatty
I am not doing so well on my diet. I am back up to 240.5. It has been really hard for me to get back on it. When my wife was gone on vacation for a week, I couldn't do it simply because I had no desire to cook for myself. Then, when my wife got back, neither of us could ge int he mood to diet after being bad the previous week. I feel really guilty because I really want this. I just am having trouble with the motivation. This week is already off to a not so good start with Valentine's Day, dinner for my wife on Friday night, a bunch of running around on Saturday, and then dinner at the in-laws on Sunday. Whew. What I am going to do?
The Kings got screwed AGAIN tonight. Ok, this is getting ridiculous. Last week, they lost two games in part because of CLEAR bad calls at the end of the game. Twice in one week! Tonight, they got screwed again by a game changing call that could have made all the difference. This was also CLEARLY a bad call at the end of the game. There is no way this can happen to a team three times in the span of a week. So the Kings should have never let it get to one call at the end of the game. But that is the NBA. It would just be nice to know that if it does come down to the end, calls will be made right. This has not been the case. I am fuming right now. I am pissed. Can my team get no love? In the meantime, the boys are just sliding farther and farther down the rankings. Maybe this All Star break is what they need because they are in some kind of funk right now.
No one has read my blog in a about a week. What happened to this cult following? Should I even bother? If you read my blog, I don't care if you just comment to just say hi, just please leave comments. This place is as dead as ...(insert inappropriate joke here).

The Poker Gods Have Mercy
Saturday was the big tournament. I woke up at 5:30 in the morning to await whatever fate the Poker Gods decided to bestow on me. The tournament didn't start until 9:00am, but we had to be there early for signups. Since there were only a certain number of seats available, I didn't even have a seat right away. I had to wait until 3 people were knocked out for me to sit down. Luckily, that only took about 15 minutes. What a tense 15 minutes that was though. Not quite the tension I have before a big soccer game, but pretty damn close. I think it could have had even more if I had had the slightest bit of confidence that I would actually do well. So, I found out that there was going to be 87 people in the tournament, or as I like to call it, 86 people against me. That includes the three people I went with. However, once they called my name, all the tension I had instantly disappeared. I was ready to play and ready to show what I had. Top 10 people were going to get money. These would be the people who would make it to the final table. So I sat down, and all of a sudden, I started winning hands. I won when I had the best cards and I won when I bet enough to make others think I had the best cards. After a couple of hours, I heard there were about 30 people left. Huh? I had already gone through about 40 people? Awesome! I should have known considering the fact that I had already seen 4 different people who were sitting on my left get eliminated. I should have known this was happening elsewhere. Suddenly, there were now 20 people left. By the next hand there were 18. And then it happened 15 minutes later. I was now at the final table. I had made it. The tournament started with 87 people and there were 10 left. One of those chumps just happened to be me. To make it even better, a friend of mine made it as well. We got a 5 minute break to relax. I tell ya, that 5 minutes was so exciting because I just got to relax and reflect on what I had accomplished. I finally ended up in 8th place. Disappointed that I didn't win? Sure, who wouldn't want to? But really, the disappointment is so minute that it barely even registers. I had beat 79 other people. A crowd of people was watching ME play poker! How friggin' cool is that? I got about $100 for my 3 hours of work, but really it isn't about the money. 6 months from now, I won't remember how much money I won, but I will remember what place I got and how the whole experience went. My buddy did even better - a 4th place finish. Just an unbelieveable day. When I dropped him off, I finally let it all out. Driving home, I let out a giant scream and pumped my fist in the air. I had achieved something that I didn't even begin to think was possible. Apparently, the Poker Gods had something up their sleeves for me. They work in mysterious ways.
The tournamant also finally gave me the closing signature I have been looking for...
"To do well, all I need is a chip and chair."
And do well I did.

Way late..
I don't know what took me so long to do this as the wife has been gone on vacation all week and I have done nothing. Anyways, I gained .5 pounds last week. I kind of figured I would as the wife and I ate out a bunch as we seemed to be always out at dinner time. Bummer. What sucks though is that I needed a weight loss to make up for this week. With the wife gone, I knew I would gain as I wouldn't want to cook much. Well, that is exactly what has transpired so I am not looking at all towards weighing in on Monday.
Tomorrow morning is the big poker tournament. I have to be there at 6:45 am to sign up and then the game will start at 9:00 am. With all the people that will be playing, I will need some luck. Well, if I do bad, at least the wife comes home tomorrow. That will be a prize in itself...

Grit and determination
Game three against the Timberwolves this year today. Last two games the Kings had good leads going in to the 4th quarter only to have 37 and 36 points scored on them respectively in the 4th quarter of those 2 games to lose. So, playing in Minnesota today, I didn't predict a win. Then, we find out that not only is Peja not going to play again today, but Webb is going to sit out with the sore knee too. Add that to no Mo Evans who is still on the injured list, plus of course no Bobby and it doesn't look good at all. Then, Mobley starts limping in the first play of the game. Ok, how much are we going to lose by today? Luckily, Mobley gutted it out. So how did it go? Well, the Kings won of course. HUH? The Kings put on, and I am not exaggerating, THE best hustle, teamwork and help defense I have EVER seen them play. Yes, they have allowed less points before. Yes, they have made nicer passes before. But consider everything that they had going against them from the beginning of the game added on to the fact the T-Wolves were at home and riding a 5 game win streak, I can't think of a better team effort. And no, it is NOT because Webb didn't play. Some critics will say that it is because Webb did not play that made them play such great team ball. You won't get me saying that as I am still a big Webb fan. If you don't like him, then you can take off the wins against the Bucks and Rockets this year where he hit the 3 pointers at the end of the game. That is not even counting the other games this year where he has been clutch in the 4th. The rest of the team just made a solid commintent towards everything they have been lacking this year and it paid off. It was beautiful hard-nosed basketball.
Two of my three lowest students in my class left this week. One I am SO happy about, one I am disappointed. Student 1 was a basket case who had no respect for authority. He talked back, didn't try, and just didn't care. He is going to be home schooled. Good bye looney. The other one was quite low also, but I feel bad for this kid. He came to my school a couple of weeks in to the school year. It was like his 5th school in 3 years or something. Once he got here, he got in all kinds of trouble with both me and other students. I had to suspend him for fighting. Plus, he was just very low. But somehow, after a few months, I got to this kid. He started working harder, he was getting out of trouble, and we were seeing progress. Unfortunately, now he has to pack up and leave again. It is some custody thing. I don't think either parent wants to take responsibility for him. It is sad really. How is a kid ever going to succeed in a situation like this? How is he ever going to have a stable life? How is a teacher ever going to have success with him if he keeps getting new ones every few months? I feel really bad for him. Good luck little dude.
Played poker with Duncan and Jason on Friday night during the game and actually won. Man, I forgot what it felt like. Yes, I only beat two other players, but I just felt like everything was going my way and was going to go my way no matter what. I only won against two players, good players by the way, but it is a good confidence booster going in to the big tournament next weekend. With 80 people, being good isn't going to just cut it. I am going to need some luck as well. I needed that win on Friday.

Take some responsibility damnit!
Major bad mood right now because of work. Apparently, a parent of one my students went to complain about me to the principal because she feels that her child has not progressed at all since the beginning of the year. A background on this girl: she is VERY low; probably a few grade levels behind. So basically, she is nowhere near 4th grade standards. She has a learning contract called an IEP which states her learning goals for the year since she is far behind. Basically, a, "We know you are far behind and are not going to make it all up in this one year. Let's try to get you from point A to point B by the end of the year." Usually this is in one or more academic areas. She has it in ALL areas. She is very low. Mom is not happy with this. I understand this. However, I still am going to give her some 4th grade material to see if she is learning any of it. Well, the majority of it she is not. But, she is progressing on her IEP goals which is what we want. I have told the mom this, but she doesn't seem to understand the concept. She sees her child getting bad grades and is focussing on that. I tell her, "Yes, she IS getting bad grades but she is not at 4th grade level yet." Instead of seeing the positive steps, she is looking at only the negative. She thinks because of her bad grades at FOURTH GRADE level, that I am not teaching her. Lady, I just said she is making progress in her goals, but not at what she should be at yet for someone her age. So basically, she was going to go talk to the prinicipal today to complain about my teaching. Part of the problem is that her teacher the year before (very nice lady) sugarcoats grades and report card comments a little. I look at what she wrote about this student and I KNOW, that it is not entirely true. She lets emotions get in the way and doesn't tell it how it is all the time. A parent compares the comments on that report card to what is happening now and of course thinks it is something to do with my teaching style Really? Well, why don't you look at my state test results for my students the last two years compared to how they did the previous year. They make a huge jump. I don't care if this is bragging or not, the results show that my students make HUGE gains when they come to my class. I wouldn't say if it I didn't have evidence to back it up. And it is not that 4th grade is easier. Ask any teacher and they will agree that the transition from 3rd to 4th grade is probably the hardest. Despite that, the majority of my kids kick ass by the end of the year. And this BITCH thinks I am not teaching well enough? What are you doing at home for her? Last week, I asked the girl about her weekly failed spelling test(she gets only 10 words while others get 30). I asked her, "Doesn't your mom work on these with you?" Of course her answer was no. How the FUCK do you expect your child to succeed in my class if you are not even working with them at home? So fine, move her to another classroom if you think that is the answer. Keep up the good work on the homework help too jackass. There are so many more thoughts running through my mind right now, but I can't seem to get them down properly because I am so pissed. Man I hate this fucking job...

Movin' on down
Weigh in day today and there is good news to report. I lost 2 pounds last week. I wasn't super good last week diet wise, but I did get in almost as much exercise as I wanted. I really think with me it is the exercise that really helps. True, I am eating better, but still not perfect. Friday night we went out to Fresh Choice for the wife's stepmother's birthday. Seeing as how I don't eat salad, it isn't exactly the most nutritious place for me. Then after that, we had homemade lemon cheescake at home. Sure, it is a cooking light recipe, but I am sure it is still stuffed with all kinds of calories. I am sure there were other nights where my diet was also less than stellar. But I did exercise, and I did lose. So here are the totals:
Weight last week: 240.5
Weigh in today: 238.5
Total loss after three weeks: 5 pounds
I am doing okay for my pound per week goal. Let's see if I can keep it up...

Going in reverse
Wow, not only did I get no luck last night in my poker game, I actually lasted even shorter than usual. Nothing really to complain about though. Whenever I tried to play the feeble hands I was dealt, someone always had something better. I had a pair of aces and kings, someone had a straight. I had three queens, the other person had three queens also with a better kicker. The best two hands of the night were the hands where I lost all of my money. That is the way it goes I guess. My wife thinks that I need to make an offering to the poker gods. She might be right. Next time I play is in two weeks and it will be a big tournament - about 80 people. So obviously, if I do well there, all this will be forgotten. But it will take a heck of a lot to get that done.

Poker tonight
If you can find it in your best interests Poker Gods...Give me some friggin' luck tonight!!! They owe me after what I have gone through on the table lately...
The list and how it works
Ok, been promising this post since I first started this thing. Basically, this comes from an old Friends episode, probably the 2nd season. In this particular episode, Ross and Rachel make a deal that they can come up with 5 celebrities that, given the highliest unlikely of chances, they are allowed to sleep with without repercussions. So everyone on the show talks about their lists and of course hilarity ensues. My wife and I thought this was a funny episode and decided we should come up with our own list. Basically, it is all in good fun, but it was still quite a task to come up with the golden 5. I mean, you don't want to leave off the wrong people. Now, over the years, this list has undergone many changes. Many girls have been unceremoniously dumped from this high honor. But as it stands, here is the list on 1/22/05 in NO PARTICULAR ORDER:
1.Britney Spears - she has probably been on this list the longest. Also, she is the only blonde girl to make an appearance on this list. What is it about her? She's just super hot. However, if she continues down the path she is currently on, she might be the next one gone from this list. She should also cut her hair back to right above shoulder length like she had on the Rolling Stone cover a couple of years ago.

2.Natalie Portman - Just a very, very cute girl. Saw Garden State yesterday and she was so amazingly good and cute in it. Check out the movie, it is excellent and highly recommended.
3. Jennifer Garner - You know what the funny thing is? I have never even seen an episode of Alias. I guess the commercials and awards shows were enough to convince me of this cutie.
4. Jessica Biel - Just so damn sexy! I have yet to see Blade 3, which I am very upset about because pictures show that she looks amazing in this flick. Plus, she was a soccer player before she hit it big. Bonus points!
5.Evangeline Lilly - Ever since I saw episode 1 of Lost, I have been hooked on this girl. Obviously, she is the newest member of this illustrious class. Funny thing is, before this show, I had seen her before. Have you ever stayed up really late and that commercial for Livelinks comes on - you know, the number where you can chat with someone local and hook up? Well, she is the girl in some of those commercials. I guess you can say she has taken a step up.
So what about my wife's list? Hers stays more consistant. Basically, it usully is this:
1.Brad Pitt
2.Colin Farrell
3.Mark Wahlberg (she is getting tired of him though)
4.Vin Diesel
5.LL Cool J
She doesn't change hers nearly as much as mine. So if anyone reads this post, PLEASE post your list as well. Let's see if we can get some other lists on here. Not too happy with where the pictures ended up on this post. Got to figure out how to work with this.

Oops
Ok, so compared to last week, I ate a little more and excercised a bit less. What does that add up to? 1.5 pounds not in the right direction. Yes, I gained weight last week. I kind of suspected it because of the above reasons, but it was still disappointing to see. I am kind of glad that it happened this early though. It shows me that I just can't cakewalk through this and only be good whenever I feel. I need to stick to this. And yes, I need to exercise. The funny thing is, I actually enjoy exercising. It makes me feel good. I just couldn't get off my ass to do it. This shows me what it is I need to do. Damnit, I iwll lose weight this week. My goal is to lose the 1.5 I gained back plus one more. That would put me at -5.5 for three weeks. Right now my totals are this:
Start weight at beginning of last week: 239
Last week: +1.5
Current weight: 240.5
Total loss after 2 weeks: 3 pounds
So I am still a pound ahead of my 1 pound a week schedule. Just wish I wouldn''t have backtracked. I know now though. Let that be a lesson.
Evangeline Lilly was Just on the Ellen show (Umm, watched it with my wife). Man she is super hot. I need to write that article on my top five girls. I will make it my goal to do that this week.

Confirmation
Well, as my wife figured, she did indeed have a miscarriage. She took a blood test on Wednesday and the results came back that she was in fact pregnant. Now, we know that she wasn't far along, but it was still tough to swallow. My wife is so great though. Instead of still focusing on the negative of the whole situation, she has been able to find a bit of light in this darkness. She is of the opinion that at least this miscarriage showed that she CAN get pregnant. Bless her heart for finding something positive after all this. We just will have to try again.
If you read the comments from my last post, you will see that a fellow blogger read AND commented on my blog. The word is spreading. Soon, the gospel that is Manuel's View will be taking over. I won't say that I will be bigger than Jesus like the Beatles did, but I am poised to explode. 4 different people have commented on this site. It has started...
Finally, a salute to Doug Christie who got traded by the Kings this week. He was nothing but a class individual for the organization and gave everything he had each and every night. Kids should be idolizing the hussle that he brings to each game rather than the showboating of most of today's young and up and coming players. Sacramento truey lost a great individual and I hope that everyone appreciates what he brought. We will miss you Doug...
