So What Happens Next?

Ok, so obviously I didn't start another year in pictures right after my last project ended ended on May 28th. I took a picture, and often, much more than one picture, for 365 straight days. I wasn't burnt out per se, but I felt a little break would refresh me and get me ready for future projects.

So am I going to start another picture a day project soon? Well, in short, no. BUT, it IS coming back. To kind of get it on a normal schedule, I am going to wait until Jan 1st to start back up again and make it year to year. So look for my picture a day project, year two, on January 1st.

But wait, does that mean I am not going to take any pictures between now and then? No pictures for over half a year? Of course not! I haven't really taken a picture in about a week and a half and I am already jonesing really bad. So what will I do? Well, between now and then, I have decided to do themed projects. What do I mean by this? Well, I am looking to do photo sets that have things in common. For example:

-Chimneys
-doors
-chairs
-The 7 deadly sins

And really, whatever comes to mind. Truthfully, I am open to ALL suggestions. Please send them my way and if it sounds good, it will go on the list. At the same time, I'd like to get out and do more photo shoots. So far, I have done toddlers, newborns, adults, pets, hell, even toys. I'd like to do more so feel free to contact me for your own photo shoot of some kind.

So again, throw me your photo theme ideas. I need a lot of them to fill the next 7 months! Thanks for following along...

Awesome, awesome, awesome news! When I said last night that I was jonesing for a daily photo, I had no idea that something this cool was in the works. I'm very glad that you've decided to continue in the fashion that you have, and I am looking forward to seeing what is in store.

As for ideas, two that come to mind are movies and comics. Considering that each of those subjects encapsulates so much, you might get a few pictures out of them. For comics, you might take another photo of A-1, i.e. the physical building itself. You might take a photo of a specific week's comic haul. You might take a photo of one of your comic-related tattoos, of your Bowen collection (or mine, before it gets packed up), someone wearing a comic-themed T-shirt, etc. The possibilities are vast.

Hooray! I have missed you - pictures or not - I love reading your blog. Have I missed your pictures? Most definitely! Have I missed your writings? Most definitely! But I knew you had something in store and you haven't disappointed me in the least. I was hoping you would be going for a themed project. I had ideas but for the life of me right now I can't think of any but rest assured I'll keep feeding you ideas. Looking forward to January 1 and the years to come. How is the book coming? I'm really ready for that as well.
Love you!

What a cool idea! Makes me think fondly of Saturday Scavenger Shots...remember that?

Let's see...I think color based themes would be cool and striking.

Things in motion?

Roadside attractions?

Oh I met so many wonderful friends at the Photo Scavanger Hunt. Themed photos are fun but sometimes hard to find. Good luck and looking forward to the new posts, whatever they may be.

Boo, I commented and it isn't here! I don't feel like typing it all again, but, summed up, it was something like this: I'm excited for what's in store.
