Mission Accomplished!

This weekend was my 5k, the run I had been training for for a few months, and I am proud to report that that I accomplished my goal.  Being out of shape and overweight makes me not the fastest runner in the world, but I set some realistic goals and, thankfully, met them!  Now I am anxious to do another 5k because I actually really enjoyed it!  Time to start looking at that calendar!

Now on my runs, these headphones come in quite handy!  They block out the ugly sounds of my panting and wheezing!

Here are my running shoes with my number I had pinned to my shirt!

Today wasn't a picture that was run related, but it still shows that great sky that we have had now that the weather is finally better!

Congratulations! The fact that you can set your own goals is one of my favorite things about running. If it makes you feel good, you should definitely keep it up.

Great pics, of course. Have to say that I really love that last one with the spiky grass and the blue, blue sky.

May I say CONGRATULAIONS, I am proud of you specially cause I know how hard it is. How do I know, because I am panting and in need of oxygen when I run from my door to my mail box which is only like 2000 steps away. lol

Happy to hear you accomplishd your goals.

I am so proud of you son! Being there watching you was one of the joys of being a and your mother! The pictures are great. I especially love the second one with the shoes and your running bib. It is perfect. I am so happy to see the blue skies and the sky as the backdrop is perfect.

I hate being out of town because I don't get the insider "I blogged" tips...

Headphones: The cold, stark white against the bright, warm yellow is awesome. I love music.

Shoe and bib: I love this. A lot. It's the perfect way to commemorate all your hard work, dedication, blood, sweat and tears in training for the 5k. I am SO proud of you!

Sky: The color contrast is stunning. Also, it's amazing how you can SEE the coarse texture of the broom!
