May 19th, 2011 - Day 139
I decided this rusty screw on my fence would make a pretty good picture of the day. The challenge was getting my tripod in a position so that I could get a crisp shot, but being right against the fence proved rather difficult. I had to open up the tripod ever so slightly so that it was basically standing straight up, but even then. I had to balance one leg on my foot. Because of that, it isn't quite as crisp as I would want, but I am still fairly happy with it.

Of course YOU notice the tiniest of flaws because you are the artist, but I think 99% of the time, WE would never notice them if you didn't mention them... Just a bit of advice. This is a great picture, nonetheless.
I just enjoy how visceral those tight shots are...I can see, feel, smell, and yes, taste that rusty nail!
This is a great picture and Jess is right. We, the non artists, would never see what you see. Just like your grandma who can make a cross-stitch masterpiece and say there was a stitch out of place. I love this picture.
