Like my clever title above? That is what I came up with after realizing my post was really going to have no theme. So what have I been up to? Well, Jess worked Friday and Saturday so my two days were pretty uneventful. I think I stayed in most of the day on Friday and simply worked and by the end of the day, just took a quick picture of whatever I could find that would be interesting...
Saturday was more of the same during the day. I think I watched a bunch of soccer, but that is about it. The exciting part was that near the end of the day, the sun finally came out for the first time in a few days and it produced one of the most vividly colored rainbows I had ever seen. On cue, as I was taking the picture below, 4 or 5 other people posted pictures of the rainbow on Facebook. Yeah, we were pretty excited here in town.
The first half of Sunday was spent being even more of a bum because if Jess was off getting massages and pedicures, I should be able to plant my butt on the sofa. Plus, I was pretty tired from staying up 'til 3am the night before with friends doing tequila shots and relaxing in the spa. Once she finally got home, we went to my folks' house to celebrate my sister's birthday and had some pretty damn authentic Mexican food. I am so lucky to grow up Mexican!
Truthfully though, the highlight of the day was my sister and her husband asking Jess and I to be the godparents to their son who will be born later this month. What a touching honor. I love the upgrade from uncle to Godfather.
Monday was spent seeing the new X-Men movie (AWESOME) and then working in the afternoon. It was a cool remembrance day as the day marked the 15th anniversary of graduating from high school. Where has time gone? I marked the occasion by taking a vintage picture of my old letterman jacket.
Today? Work. That's it. But I did manage a self portrait.

The rainbow was absolutely stunning, so bright and vivid and you could clearly see each and every color. If I hadn't have seen the beautiful rainbow with my own two eyes, I would think your photo was Photoshopped...
Your sister's birthday dinner was DELICIOUS! When it comes to food, never a day goes by where I'm sad I married a Mexican!
I like your self portrait, even if it is a little dark and sinister. You have beautiful, full lips and I am so lucky that I can kiss them whenever I want!
I too am surprised 15 years have passed since we graduated high school... Where has the time gone?!
I agree with Jess, that rainbow was awesome. It is awesome to grow up Mexican isn't it. I get to eat home made Mexican food quite often. I like posts with random comments, they are fun.
No theme can be its own theme :-)
That rainbow is beautiful! Also, have to say that food is mouth-wateringly delicious looking. I love Mexican food.
Also, congrats on being named Godparents for your new nephew! Very exciting news :-)
Love the pictures, especially the self-portrait. You are behind the camera so much that we need to be reminded who is taking the awesome pictures. And...I definitely like this view of you. Very Cool!!!
The rainbow was spectacular and it was funny how many posts and pictures on FB there were.
The food looks good and I'm ready for more!
Hard to believe 15 years have passed already since you graduated. I love the picture. And I can't not mention the first picture as well. Totally looks like Slash. Good job.
Uncle to Godfather! And to think Cassie was worried you guys wouldn't accept the honor. Silly her! Better start learning to talk with cotton in your mouth! hehe
Great pictures! Congratulations to both of you on being named Godparents to your nephew. It is a great honor. Uncle Skip and I can attest to the joy of being Godparents to a great kid. Hugs, Nani
What is the yellow field under the rainbow. Incredible.
Nice self-portrait too. you look totally bad-ass.
