Think About Baseball, Swing All Night...

Jess and I went out and about today looking for something in particular that I need for a photo idea I have. When I struck out on what I was looking for, I decided to shoot this empty baseball field at a neighborhood park...

It was a beautiful day to go for a drive. It was fun to watch you in action, snapping your photos, watching your brain work as you see inspiration in what the average person sees as an empty baseball field. All of the pictures turned out amazing. Another nice entry for our viewing pleasure.

Beautiful shots of an empty ball park just waiting for someone to say "play ball". Nice.

Very lonely looking pictures. I really like each one.

Absolutely amazing pictures (as always) In your first picture, I can't believe how blue the sky is! They are all great in their own right! The last one is so artistic! Very nice! Glad you were able to go out for a drive and capture all that we would just take for granted.

Brock "Mother Fn" Park! Home of the Larchmont Little League and where I played ball for the Cardinals, Royals, White Sox and Dodgers. Best Snow Cones and Nachos ever. That's my guess on which park these pics actually took place at.

I love all of those.

You expertly capture the feel of a small-town baseball field. All the colors and textures are vivid, from the rusty chains to the splintered, peeling bleachers. If I had to pick a favorite it might be the second-to-last shot. The out-of-focus black and white background seen through chain link fence speaks volumes.
