Tick, Tock

Can you believe there is only about a month and a half left until my picture a day project is over?!? Yes, May 29th, I'll be done and the date is fast approaching! I have been kind of behind on posting my pictures daily, but I seem to have been busy lately. I don't think I have even commented on any blogs in the last week or so. So bad.

On with the last 5 days of pictures...

Pop the Tab
April 7th, 2010 - Day 314

On Thursday, we found out that our boy, Orko, has diabetes. Unfortunately, the insulin is pretty pricey, but if we don't treat him, they think he will have 3 to 4 months to live. Such a tough decision...

April 8th, 2010 - Day 315

Some of you may know already, but Jess is quite crafty! She makes cards, invitations, and all sorts of other cool things. On Friday, her and her bud Yvette made wedding invitations at the house for Brandon and Yvette's upcoming wedding. They came out GREAT!

April 9th, 2010 - Day 316

A birdhouse my crafty grandpa made!
April 10th, 2010 - Day 317

And look at Jess, still smiling after 12 hours at work!

Please don't stop the photo of the day project! PLEEEEAASE!!

The soda tab is awesome. I like how parts of the picture are dull and party are shiny. I also think it's cool how you can see microscopic scratches in the metal.

My Orko is such a sweet little boy, so loving, so happy. He doesn't deserve to be sick; he doesn't deserve to be in a situation where his parents don't know whether they'll try to make him better. I hate this whole situation, but I LOVE this picture. Can you please print me a 4x6?

I am SOOOO pleased with the way the invitations came out. I can't take all the credit though - Yvette picked everything out and I just put it together. Anyway, of all the things I've made, this maybe one of my favorites!

Grandpa is too cute with his crafts. The framing of this picture is great, and the pop of red is perfect.

I'm surprised I look halfway decent after work today - it was so busy! And I'm smiling because I'm happy to finally be back home with you, sweetie!

Excellent pictures as always. I really do enjoy these; again, please don't stop.

I'm not ready for your photo project to be done! I think you need to run right on through May and the rest of the year. And 2011, too.

Way to go Jess with the invitations! Those look so cool!

I'm so sorry to hear the news about Orko. Poor pup. :(

Poor Pooch. That is a tough decision.

I'm ready to sign the petition not to end the photo project as well.

I say don't stop the photos but don't put yourself through the commitment of "must" post. I say just post them at will, we will enjoy your good eye to catch images for a long time to come.

NO, No, No!!!! The photos must NOT stop!! I know it's hard but we really do enjoy them so, so much! This project makes you take a picture and try new creative things - unless you have a plan, I'm afraid you won't try new things.
Great photos as always. Love them all

Jessica, beautiful job on the invitations! And you look beautiful too :-)

I'm sorry about Orko. Very rough.

Honestly, I was just thinking about your rapidly-approaching end date. Got kinda sad; I have really enjoyed seeing every new picture as it's posted, enjoying the vast breadth of subjects and the sheer dimension of this project. Why, just look at the five photos posted here. You find a way of making a mundane, everyday item seem exciting or at least look striking, as in the pull tab.

The photo of Brandon and Yvette's invitation is superb. It's a fantastic example of Jess' talent and your talent coming together nicely. When she starts her business, I imagine she'll have a website full of examples of her work, and your photos will be as important in conveying the quality of her work as will the work itself.

Am I crazy, or are there similarities between the photo of Orko and the photo of Jess? In both cases, the focus is on the face, framed by both hands (or paws). And of course both pictures are tremendously cute.

We love Orko and our hearts go out to him, as well as his Mommy and Daddy. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the decision you ultimately make proves to be the right one.

I'll be disappointed when the photo project is finished, but hopeful that, after May 29th, you will treat us to the occasional photo.
