In Training

March 5th, 2011 - Day 64

"Success isn't how far you got, but the distance you traveled from where you started.”

This quote is never more evident than in my training right now for my 5k. Sure, I am way out of shape and nowhere near a good runner, but 5 weeks into training, I sure have come far. Self portrait on tripod.  4 weeks left!  The white box around my pictures is not something I add, but something added when the pictures are put in the blog.  I would choose to do away with them.

nice muscles dear! Good job on your running. I'm very proud of you. You have come a long way and 4 weeks left is nothing. The hard part will be keeping it up afterwards to continue to stay in shape. Hopefully you are planning too.

Ummm, someone has some rockin gastrocnemius muscles! This is a fun picture! I'm proud of your commitment to training for the 5k. Keep up the good work!

PS. Wrong "too" Mom... :-)

Jess-that last sentence doesn't even make sense. I think I stopped midstream in a sentence or some thought. But thanks for pointing out my mistake -do you enjoy pointing out mistakes. blah, blah, blah...hahaha!!! (don't remember her rant)

I didn't even notice the black bars with the quote around the picture until you pointed it out (just like I didn't notice that you shaved your face until 12 hours later... What can I say, I suck...) Anyway, what you've done with the borders is very cool, very motivational poster-ish.

That does look like a motivational poster! For badasses with tats.

Good for you. I'm running my frist 5K of the season in April. I think it's always fun to have something to train for.
