August 25th, 2009 - Day 89
Intruders! These boys are creeping on to my land! I had a hard time deciding what picture to use today. I ended up going with this one as I liked the details of the leaves and fence up close. Of course, you really have to click on it and see it large to appreciate that. The thumbnail doesn't do it justice. Below is the other angle/focal point that I ended up not using, but I think it's a pretty good alternate and although it is basically the same picture, it has a totally different feel.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY like that you included BOTH versions; it really illustrates how something as simple as a change in the focal point changes the WHOLE picture. Nice work today, as usual.
I do like the one you chose, although the other one is pretty cool in itself. I agree with Jess. You take the same subject, change the angle, and you get a totally different picture. The fence looks reall cool in this picture.
It is interesting to see both versions...is that a grape vine? Quite pretty.
Cool shots! I think I prefer the one you went with (wherein the focus is on the leaves in the foreground), but I agree that the differing angles and foci have a profound effect on the two pictures. It makes me wonder if we'll see alternate versions of future pictures of the day.
