Ok, I am not super famous, but it's a start! Today, August 17th, 2009 is quite a monumental day for me. My photography "career" jumped up to the next level today as one of my photos now resides on the wall of someone other than a loving family member. About a month ago Alien commented on one of my photos that it would look great in his basement and inquired on how to get a copy. I told him if he paid for the printing price, it was his as I am not in the money making business yet. Not only did he want one of my photographs to grace his wall, but he wanted it to grace his wall in 16x20 glory. I was a little worried as I hadn't printed anything that big and wasn't quite sure how it would turn out, but I went ahead and ordered the print and had it sent to his house.
Today, I got the pictures.....
He told me he was pleased with it and from the pictures alone, I would have to agree. I can't describe the feeling I have seeing a picture I took, framed, on somebody's wall. It is an honor and I am sure that I am getting more joy out of this than Alien is. This is truly an exciting day for me!

I'm not a collector, but I know what I like. I like that photo and am completely happy with the way it came out. It is an honor for me to have your photo hanging on my wall. Thanks a lot, Manuel, keep up the good work.
it reall is a cool picture. I remember when you first had it on your blog. This is re-shot, correct? An honor indeed to have this on Alien's wall as much an honor for him because you are a friend. This is what photography is about, however. Reaching out to someone in a special way. Good job sweetie.
It is a really nice photo that stood up more than well to being blown up. It looks amazing. It is enough to make me start pondering my own extremely empty white walls....
What a tremendous honor! And while you're definitely thrilled, I'm sure Alien is equally happy with his new acquisition. It's a great shot, and it looks fantastic hanging on his wall. Congratulations; it's only a matter of time before your work is hanging in more public venues.
Oh honey, I am SOOOOOOOO proud of you! Your work is getter better every day and this is such an honor for you. Maybe early to mid next year we can see your work hanging around the county fair (and then, eventually the State Fair)?! Keep up the good work and thank you, Alien, for bestowing such an honor on my sweet husband.
Congratulations on having such fine work that people actually want it. That is a great compliment and an accomplishment many aspiring artists never achieve. Hugs.
That's so cool for both of you. Hold onto that Alien. It could be worth some money some day.
YAY!!
That is awesome! I wouldn't be surprised if more people asked for prints of your photos, you have quite the eye for photography! Two eyes, actually!
Congrats senor Manuel. It does feel good, doesn't it? I won't get rich with the ones I do but by selling them it allows for me to go out and hunt for more images.
