In honor of Halloween, I wanted to photograph scary pictures all week. Sal came through today and dropped off a bunch of horror items so prepare to be inundated this week with gore galore! I wanted to start fairly simple and decided to go with zombies. I had a REAL hard time deciding on a picture of the day so you get to see all of them. The first one is the one I went with and everything else can be considered alternates...

I said it before and I'll say it again: I'm flattered. My stuff has never looked so good.
My thoughts on the actual picture of the day: Even were I not a fan of all things horror, I would still lavish praise upon this expertly-framed and lit photo. The setting is excellent; it would have been easy to have them crawling across a table or countertop but placing them in your garden gives it some added realism - well, as much realism as you can get given the context. It is as though they have crawled out of their graves in search of sustenance.
Of the others, I am drawn to the third and fifth. The black and white makes them look like a still from the original Night of the Living Dead.
Scary, terrific work. I look forward to seeing what's in store for the rest of the week!
I'll NEVER be able to be as articulate as Sal so I shall not try. Know this: I think I'm VERY much going to enjoy this week's photos; the subject matter will be fun and spooky and fitting of the season and FULL of creativity on your part. Enjoy, my sweet - I know I will!
What Sal said. Good, imaginative and fun.
These are truly awesome. I love them all, but especially the first one and the black-n-white photo.
I love Zombies. Great pictures, all of them. Once again, I will say, some of these photos would look good in a collector's home.
These pictures are cool!!
Cassie
Are those little zombie action figures? They're extremely cool and so are your pictures.
The B&W version of your featured photo is very B movie. Love it.
I wish it were Halloween every week. Those zombie photos are the coolest!
Just when I thought I couldn't love you enough - you go and do something so extremely cute it's not even funny. I love when you play! I smile thinking of how you are setting them up, etc.
All that Sal and everyone said and more. These are great - I think every one of them is unique.
I'm anxious for the rest of the week!!!
