I was hiding my chubby, I-gained-15-pounds-over-the-holidays face. I feel fat and unattractive and icky; not worthy of a picture of the day... I'll let you photograph me again, uncovered, when I lose it.
Very interesting shot. As Laura says, it's lovely and mysterious, and seemed playful before Jess explained why she was covering up. Also, the blue tint adds much depth to the photo; that plus Jess' eye peeking through what I assume is a black sweatshirt lends it a certain nighttime feel.
Katie says she hopes the toffee wasn't to blame. :)

I don't care what reason Jess was hiding, it is a great picture. I love the mystery involved and the colors! I've seen you Jess - you aren't chubby!!!!

Oh my gosh, you look gorgeous, Jess. I'd love to look like that when I felt good about myself, let alone after gaining weight. Manuel's a lucky man.
