Day 98 - September 3, 2009
I am always amazed at moss. Ok, so these paver stones make up my back patio and as far as I can tell, there is no dirt there, I haven't planted seeds, there is really nothing to "grow" into, and it doesn't really get water. But like Dr. Malcom says, "Nature will find a way." If only it was that easy to grow the stuff you wanted!
This is actually a pretty boring shot unless you see it large. Just a tip. I have included two other views because I couldn't decide which direction to go. I have a view that is farther out so you can see just how much of the stones are covered, but then it loses some detail. I also have one up close and it almost looks like an entrance to a cave where you have to go ask the undead to help you in a battle, but I didn't quite like how the focus came out. Process of elimination and I know you guys like to see alternate views and what I decided against.

oooh! I like that last one a lot. They are all really cool and tell a different story. You are a master!
Yeah, I am a fan of all of these pictures. I don;t think any of them would have been a bad choice. I too find the moss funny - how does it grow there?! I like the look it gives to our pavers - a rustic, natural, been there forever (not just 5 years) look. Nice idea to take a picture of this, Sweetie!
I really like a critic for my captures like your mom. lol I really liked this series of images.
I love the mossy shots. And the different views are great.
I love the contrast between the hard, rough stones and the soft moss. Nice.
I too love moss and like it to grow on stuff around our house. I like that last one too. It does look like a cave entrance! Cool! I think you are really imaginative in your pictures and that is one of the reasons I like them so much. Your stories add a lot.
When I look at these pictures, I think of castles. Very nice series!
