October 11, 2009 - Day 136

Who says you can't grow a tropical fruit like a guava in Sacramento, right in the central valley of California?!? My dad proved that wrong!

I also took a few more shots while I was over as well. There is always an abundance to shoot when I am over there. Sure, it takes him 3 hours a night to water everything, but it works for someone looking for a photo opportunity!

Son, your new camera is amazing! The clarity and color on all these pictures is fantastic. Dad's garden does require so much time but worth every minute he spends out there - both for the enjoyment of viewing and or eating but also for the photography point of view. Your Audrey 2 picture almost looks like you can see it opening. Great job!

You have a great eye for finding a good subject and talent for making the shot look great and Chris is right...your new camera is fantastic!

The Audrey 2 comment made me laugh! "Feed me, Seymour!!"

I am SO proud of your for trying the guava. I'm not sure I've ever had one.

And this picture is great. I like that you can see the fence - gives the fruit tree some scale and the picture some perspective.

I am not a flower guy but you outdid yourself with those flower shots.

Looking at your last image, right under the chili it looks like a blurred out lizard or some sort of animal.

I've never had a guava. I've had guava juice, but never a guava. In fact, before seeing this picture I couldn't even picture one.

I like the final shot of the chile peppers. The red really stands out amongst all that green.
