December 18th, 2009 - Day 204

Christmas is a time for reflection

This was a fun picture to take despite the difficulties of it. It is not quite as clear and focused as I would like, but that is simply because there was a breeze and the ornament wouldn't stay still. In addition, the ornament isn't as smooth as it would appear so it makes the reflection appear even more blurry than it really is. Still, for the most part, I am really happy with this picture and got pretty much what I wanted out of it. This is an ornament hanging from my tree in the front yard. You can see all the leaves on our lawn in the ornament.

The first time I saw this picture, I saw you looking at it on your computer and I said, "WOW! That's a freaking AMAZING picture!" When I asked you who took it and you said you did I was THOROUGHLY impressed! Even though it may not have come out as clearly as you wanted, I think it is still prefect. I love the details - the reflection of our house, the red/brown of the fallen leaves and especially the reflection of the other ornaments hanging from the tree. FANTASTIC work; again, I am really impressed with your talent and creativity.

Amazing indeed!!!! I love this picture but most of all your creativity is getting better and better. This is almost a professional shot and could actually win a prize. I love reflection pictures. Good job!!!!

Without knowing exactly what sort of result you were hoping for, I must say I like this shot. It's very imaginative and certainly beyond the scope of my own abilities. The ornament itself stands in stark contrast from the background of the shot, very clear in comparison to the blurry background. And the reflection of your house stands out nicely.

Well all I can say is that it's an absolutely wonderful capture worthy of any Christmas card.
