November 1, 2009 - Day 157

It is November and the Halloween season is officially behind us and we now move on to Christmas (Screw Thanksgiving) Time for the monsters to pack up and go in their box 'til next year...

A special thanks to fellow blogger Sal for his willingness to let me borrow his prized collection for these photo shoots. I had a TON of fun!

I feel bad that we didn't even decorate for Halloween this year. I know you want scary Halloween decorations and not the cute ones we already have...

I really enjoyed the Halloween picture series. Your creativity always impresses me. And I agree - thanks to Sal for letting us play with your toys.

What a bittersweet picture! Even though I'll be unpacking these guys and putting them back in their places as soon as they're home again, it's sad to see scary photo week come to an end. I'm glad you were able to get one more picture out of them, and I'm glad I was able to contribute in some small way. If you're in need of them next year I hope you'll drop me a line.

I, too, love so-called food holidays. I'd say that it has something to do with the orgiastic feast I typically enjoy on the fourth Thursday in November, but the truth is I eat that good on a regular basis. I'm sure some of it has to do with getting together with rarely-seen family. A larger part, I'm sure, comes from the fact that it's the last big event before Christmas Season truly begins.

Christmas is definitely my favorite time of the year, but Thanksgiving is the warm up and I enjoy it throughly.

Yes, Sal, Christmas season starts AFTER Thanksgiving, not after Halloween or even, gasp, before Halloween. I mean, I was initially annoyed by all of the Christmas stuff in the stores when I first saw it and am OK now, but still, I just handed out candy to little ghosts and goblins, let me process that before being bombarded with decorations and the (ominous) prospect of Christmas gift giving.

They look like they had a ton of fun. This was a very good week of pictures - I'm sorry to see it end.

Thank you to Sal for allowing the use of his monsters but your creativity is what made the pictures what they were!

BRING ON CHRISTMAS!!!
