A Bridge to Somewhere

This morning, Jess and I took a trip to Sutter Creek, a cute, small, little town up in the hills. We had to meet her mom and stepdad to exchange some Christmas gifts that we bought for that side of the family. We have to alternate where we spend Christmas Eve and can't make it this year so we had to hand off some gifts. I took the camera, of course, but it was pouring most of the time and I couldn't get any pictures worth taking. Luckily, at the end, the rain tapered off and I was able to get some pictures of a tiny bridge or walkway that goes over a little creek. Again, I had some with problems with deciding on a picture of a day so you get three this time! The first is what I ended up deciding on, but I think I equally love the other two. I just had to pick one to use!

Speaking of presents, I took a video today of one of the presents I wrapped for Jessica. I hate wrapping and I suck at it. Keep that in mind when watching this...

Your video is too cute. I hate wrapping as well and was so glad when bags came out. although you do have to make the tissue paper look pretty inside, which I don't care. Christmas boxes are also very nice because I put my item inside, scotch tape the sides, add a tag, and I'm done. It's what is inside that counts anyway.

I like all three of your pictures but I think I'm a bit more partial to the third one. I love that they are not in color. It makes the shot more dramatic.

I'm really looking forward to your pictures in Mexico! I think you have a wide open view there! Whatever that means!!

haha! I am with you on the wrapping!

Those are really cool shots. I think my favorite is the second ones, with the sharper outlines, but still a dreamy feel. Very nice, Manuel.

I like the 2nd one best too. I don't know why, but I think it is the clearer background image that appeals to me.

I like the second shot. I love bridges. I wish I could have a little one somewhere in my backyard.
The video is so cute. Why did you never learn to wrap? LOL!! I can hear Jess laughing in the background. You are a cute boy. Hugs, Nani

I like all of the pictures. I am amazed though how the shift in focus in the first and second (one focused closer and the other farther) makes such a big difference in the picture... As always, I LOVE the black and white/sepia.

Your gift wrapping cracks me up and I am SO happy you agreed to share it with the world. You make me laugh. That gift is wrapped so beautifully, I think I'll save it until LAST to open!

You wrap like I do. Seriously, that is pretty much how presents that I have wrapped look. I try not to use gift bags for Katie's presents because she really enjoys unwrapping, moreso than pulling something out of a bag, and I try to indulge her. The video was fun to watch, due in part to Jess' contagious laughter as you examined all sides of the box.

As for the photos, I like the first one best. The angle resonates with me for some reason, as do the reflections in the water and the extremely blurry background. Not sure why, exactly, but these factors make the first photo really stand out.

Great, great video, it made me laugh!

I had to wrap a frying pan this year for my mom. It's extremely difficult to wrap one of those things while still trying to keep it a surprise.

Also this year, I saved money and avoided buying more Christmas wrap. I ran out, and had to patch up a few presents, and then went with the classy, yellow zoo animal wrap I bought for some unknown reason awhile back.
