The new backyard

As I previously mentioned, we had our backyard worked on in the past couple of weeks. Jess and I are NOT yardwork people and our backyard had essentially turned into a pile of weeds that we avoided like the Plague or country music. We spent no time out there because we had no reason to. Well, we hired a landscape company to make our backyard very low maintance and somewhere where we would want to hang out. This is what they came up with...

Very nice! That'll be a great place to hang out on warm nights! I like the little brick wall around the wooden fence.

When Jess told me no grass... I scratched my head little. I thought the yard was much larger, so the idea of no grass was tough to get my head around. It wouldn't have been worth the effort to even start a lawnmower before for that little bit of grass.

Looks good!!!

Just think of the TV you could have bought with that money!

Very nice. It reminds me of Diane's backyard at the house she bought in Natomas. She still has to pull weeds though. They come up in the woodchip area. Smiles

So nice. It should be a great place to entertain friends with as little work as possible.

Lovely yard but I gotta have grass. They did a great make over that obviously suits your needs. Now let me go back to my country music. lol I love country music and sing plenty of it with a Latin accent. lol

What is that strange green stuff, and those chairs that are outside? I should take some backyard pictures from around here. The back yard resembles Tony Montana's stock room, white stuff from end to end.

Seriously, your "people" did nice work. The new look back yard is very nice and should help you chill out and relax some. Maybe some outdoor poker tourneys?? They did it with hockey.

Wow! You know you could have taken personal credit for all the work, and we would have been none the wiser?

I love your new backyard. I would LOVE to be able to do that with ours, but we live on a 1/4 acre lot. That would be TOO much concrete for me. I'll be thinking of you this spring when I have to pull weeds. Awesome new landscape. Enjoy.

Tara - Yes, many a warm nights hopefulyl will be spent out there

Lunch - Yeah, a tv for that price would have been epic

Nani - Yeah, you can never get rid of all weeds

Churlita - As little work as possible is our motto

Jose - I have grass in front, That is enough.

Evil - Snow? Not here thank goodness

Dmaks - Damnit , that is a good idea!

MLK - Thanks, I odn't envy you. Quarter acre is too much to take care of for me. Clicked on your name to see if you had a blog, but nothing came up.

Mom - Sounds like a plan.

It looks great! I saw a show on the home and garden channel that looked a lot like your backyard. The patio is great, muche better than leaning back and... falling over ;)
