My Nightmare

So, I had a nightmare last night and I woke up scared, but also pensive at the same time. The details are fairly shady, but this is what I remember. I was convinced that there was a demon walking among us or coming to our world or something like that. By demon, I mean a Devil-ish creature. Could have been Satan himself, I am not sure. Anyways, nobody believed me. Then someone, can't remember who, called me into their office and said they were starting to believe because they had seen things move in their office. Yeah, that is a sign of a ghost generally, but hey, it was a dream. Anyways, I was in the person's office and stuff started to move. I remember I started to get chills. Then suddenly, an etch a sketch that was on hanging on the wall for some reason started to draw itself very quickly. It drew a demon-like creature in a nun outfit. It was scary looking as hell, and the the drawing opened its eyes and pointed at me like it saw me and was going to get me. I freaked out and then I woke up. I was super freaked upon waking up, but then I started thinking to myself. Has that ever happened in a movie. Has an etch a sketch ever been used in a horror movie, because I tell you what, I think it made for a very scary situation and a scene like in my dreams could really freak people out. Anyone know if something like that has happened in a movie? Think it would be scary?

Speaking of scary, I really want this doll. It is from the Living Dead Doll series which are dolls made to look scary. This is their Captain Spaulding from the Rob Zombie films done in Living Dead Doll form. How would you love having that on your bedside table? Or, put it on the bedside table of your guest bedroom! Would love to see if it ends up covered up by morning.

OK, that was just plain mean - not even a warning! Fortunately my finger is always on the scroll button!

The good captain...He is one of Rob Zombie's truly great characters. Zombie should do an entire movie souly devoted to him and maybe an evil Etch-a-Sketch

There is an evil presence on this earth!!

Go Germany...Sunday 2:30 edt

Clowns are scary.
You know what is scary, just as I clicked on your blog on my favorites, the screen on my computer started slipping up and down! I was NOT moving the mouse button at all! I was thinking "what the ?!" Then I got on your page and started reading your scary dream and moved down to see if it was you or Jess writing and saw the doll! The screen was still kind of jittery, slipping up and down. I gave a litte yelp! Way to start the day.

You are the second blogger I've read today who wrote a post involving nuns (Valkyrie was the other one)! I don't watch horror movies so I don't know about the etch-a-sketch thing. But I have to hand it to you, what an imagination!!!
Have you seen that last Harry Potter movie where Harry sees the Dark Lord but no one believes him - sound almost like your dream.
As for the doll - I have always detested clowns, I think they are all frightening. This zombie one looks like an everyday regular clown to me.

I'm all for Rob Zombie films, but to buy something that reminds me of his stuff, well that just doesn't fit into my nightly rituals.

Regarding your dream, here's what one website says about demons and nuns:

Demons:

To see demons in your dream, represents ignorance, negativity, distress or your shadow self. It also forewarns of overindulgence and letting lust give way to your better judgment. As a result, your physical and mental health may suffer.

Nuns:

To see nuns in your dream, signifies purity, chastity and obedience. It also indicates that you need to live up to the vows and promises you have made. It also foretells that material fortune and gain will interfere with your spirituality. Consider also the pun of being "none" or "nothing".

Then again, it could also just be a freaky demon dream about nuns.

You know, I don't know how effective an Etch-a-Sketch would be in a horror movie. I think drawing in the steam on the mirror (I know, been done) and stuff like that is creepier. I just don't think I can get behind the "Spooky Etch-a-Sketch".

I have never heard of anything about an Etch-a-Sketch in a movie but it does sound like a good idea.. maybe Rob Zombie can add something like it in his next creation..

That doll would give me nightmares forever. I have those weird demon dreams and they creep me out every time. I think it's from growing up Catholic and having that devil fear instilled in me.

That doll is cute, but it might add to the nightmares. Speaking of which, look through your comic books to see if anything matches up. You never know, but it would make a cool horror flick.

I don't watch too many horror movies, but your dream would have freaked me right out. Scary!

Mom - Oops, did I not tell you ahead of time

Evil - That would be a GREAT movie! Oh yeah, go Spain!

Nani - Wow, that IS scary!

Sonja - It is not supposed to be a zombie clown. It is just a character by the man Rob Zombie.

Tara - Intersting stuff, thanks!

Kel - No imagination!

MrsBHW - He should add it. It is freaky!

Chur - Yeah, I am Catholic too, so you might be on to something.

Alien - Hmm, can't think of it being in one of my comics.

Laura - You should watch them!
