Hello again! Well, it is a new week and am hoping this will be the first week in a long time without bad news. I also hope I didn't jinx myself. That being said, for now, I feel good enough to get back to regular blogging and blog reading.
Jess and I have been thinking for a while (well, her more than me) about redoing our bedroom and this past weekend, we finally started. We decided a few weeks ago to actually do it, but wanted ot wait until we did our taxes. Then, we were hit with the news of Jessica being punished and we wanted to wait until we made sure she wasn't fired. With her punishment coming down Thursday, we knew we were good to go and we got underway on Saturday. I've been taking pictures, but it is almost easier to explain with videos, so here are three short videos of our progress.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
So, the plan is to get all the painting done by the weekend and then do the floors on Saturday. Wish us luck!
Tomorrow, burgers and ice cream update.

Moving the furniture wasn't too bad. The carpet and pad came up surprisingly easy. The baseboards were a bitch and a half to get started, but easier once we got them going. The painting went well, the gray primer made the dark paint go up easier. I'm looking forward to getting the rest of the walls painted and the floors down! I think it will look really good when we're done.
You weren't lying about this hopefully being the first week without bad news. We are optimistic that the next ten months will be much less stressful for you both than the last two.
Everything looks great! We are very happy that your project is coming along nicely, though maybe just a bit envious - we wish we had time to do something similar with our own house. Again, fantastic work!
Looking forward to the burger and ice cream update!

Big project. Good job. Have fun. Hugs.
Oh man, you just reminded me that mi chica and I are supposed to do our room too. On the second day with the empty room isn't it funny how much your voice changed. Looking good so far.
I'm crossing my fingers for you guys - both for the lack of bad news and the renovation.
It's fun to have a project to work on like that! And I know things are bound to be better :-)
MrManuel, would you like to choose this week's word?
I never realized how much fun it is until we started. Painting such a pretty color and then doing the floors will look so pretty. Now I'm ready to do our fourth room and then on to the living room. It's such an accomplishment. Dad and I just walk into our rooms and smile. Have fun!
