It's the weekend which makes me think of something that comes up every now and then for me.
Why do I work on the weekends?
Well I know I am simply making a choice to stay in a settled lifestyle. I could use more money. I could use more of a challenge. I have only one responsibility in my life and that's taking care of my dog. I'm not even responsible for myself. Here is the positive side to my current job and why having the next three days off works for me.
Here is a list of what I will do the next three days
Go to the gym and workout and play basketball.
Watch 3 rented movies (Transformers and the first 2 Pirates of the Caribbean)
Go to the movies to watch Knocked UP and Mr. Brooks
Go to lunch with my Dad
Watch 2 NBA Finals games
Play a soccer game maybe(under slight protest)
Write more blogs.
Read a couple of books
Write my last 3 writing assignments.
Get my tires rotated.
Sleep in for 3 days.
Clean my house.
Do some laundry.
In between all this madness I will find the time to kill the rest of my days off with useless nonsense. This is why I am a weekend worker. Money is still Power! Rabble Rock!

Soccer game?

I am a Transportation Service Specialist for Iron Mountain. That means I am a delivery driver for a data storage company. I work 4 10-hour days. And the soccer game in question was an indoor game that i am not attending anymore. Some co-ed thing phil does.
Great plans! Unfortunately these Finals are really bad in my opinion... Spurs are too good, I'm embarrassed for the Cavs... they need to get a solid 2nd scorer.
I used to work weekends only. It was cool for a while but then I realized that I was working when everyone else was off and doing fun things. That sucks so I quit that job after 2 years.
I too could use more of a challenge at work but would rather have a boring job than one that stresses me out so much that I come home and cry after every shift.
Such is life...
C'mon man, you know you work on the weekends as a pimp.
We all work weekends at my house. Monday and Tuesday is the "weekend" for us. There are good things to this. I NEVER go to the mall, target, or the grocery store on Sat or Sun anymore. Bank and post office is always open, and less of a wait, if any, when we go out to eat. It just sucks when everyone around you is at work when you want to play.
